Indooroopilly Multipurpose Hall

Project Overview

Roofit was approached by ADCO Construction to help deliver this diverse learning centre for the Queensland Government. The two-stage extension to Indooroopilly State High School in Brisbane’s inner suburbs included new classroom facilities, design studios, multimedia rooms and science labs, staff room, ancillary areas and amenities as well as a new sports hall for whole-school assemblies and events, basketball, netball, badminton and volleyball.

Stage 1 was the 6FC building, a three-level concrete structure strengthened with steel frames and roof trusses that incorporates two elevated links from the adjacent R Block to allow for easy pedestrian movement between the buildings. The $15 million project was designed by Hayball Architects and was completed ahead of schedule in time for term one 2020.

Stage 2 saw the construction of a multi-purpose sports hall and tennis courts plus additional classrooms and amenities. The state-of-the-art facility was completed in early 2021, three months ahead of schedule.

Roofit was proud to have this incredible opportunity to help the community to thrive. As one of Queensland’s highest achieving schools for NAPLAN results, these additions are expected to further strengthen the school’s rankings.
